Cheree R. Burnette, CLU, ChFC
Cheree has been helping others achieve their financial and life goals for over 33 years. With previous experience in banking and the legal professions, she was well prepared to guide her clients as they navigated the challenges of creating the future they envisioned. She believes that to be a good advisor, one must have adequate training, education, and experience., but more importantly, a good advisor must listen and really hear what a person is saying. She believes that there’s more than one right solution, and with time, the solutions may change. She continually looks for and offers new ways to improve her clients’ financial picture throughout the life of the relationship. Relationships are important to her, and values the relationship above all else. For Cheree, financial planning is not only about money, but about life. Through good times and bad, she is there to help her clients through the many transitions of life.
Doug G. Burnette, Jr., MD, CFP®
Doug practiced Medicine as a Radiologist for over 30 years and his personal experiences as a client and investor led him to realize the importance of good financial planning and finding the right financial planner. He became a doctor to help people, and that desire continues in his career as a Certified Financial Planner™ helping his clients achieve financial health. This health is about more than just money, it is about peace of mind. It is about living the life we want and caring for the ones we love. Unlike the slick advertising of some firms who state they can help you if you have $500,000 to invest, Burnette Financial Planning believe everyone deserves a financial plan. Doug’s favorite saying is paraphrased from a saying by Benjamin Franklin: Failing to plan is planning to fail.
Client Service Administrator
Erin grew up in the financial services industry. She watched her mother, Cheree, build the business from the ground up. As a young child, she even went on appointments with Cheree and got a good sense of what it would take to become an advisor. Long-time clients of Burnette Financial Planning remember her helping Cheree host client events, and have commented that some of the best events were ones where Erin was a major contributor to the planning and hosting. After 14 years in restaurant management, Erin chose to join the family business, and is currently studying to become an Investment Advisor Representative. Erin is a strategic thinker, and problem-solving is one of her greatest attributes. She greets you with a smile, and welcomes the opportunity to serve. She is consistently looking for ways to improve systems, so that clients receive the best possible service. Together with Cheree and Doug, she hopes to make Burnette Financial Planning the most sought-after financial planning firm in the region.
